The use of photography as a documentation of an image turned into a sculptural object is a central theme explored in my work. I use materials which have a physical connection to the body. Organic forms that connect with landscapes, images of skin that become maps of an unknown land. The photographs become canvases for stitching. The notion of memory, of a story being recorded and transformed into a weaving experiment. I use materials and images that come from living forms such as hair and wool, making objects which feel alien and uneasy but yet familiar and personal.
